Security & Compliance
At Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment, we prioritise security & compliance
What information does Amazon receive or collect when I use Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF)?
We store the account information you give us when setting up your account for using MCF, such as contact details for your account users, product descriptions and content, and inventory. We collect and store order fulfilment information, including product name, quantity ordered, shipping information, and delivery status.
How does Amazon use the information received or collected when I use MCF?
We use information collected to provide and improve MCF. For example:
- We use your account information to communicate with you about MCF and to recommend other Amazon services that might be of interest to you.
- We use MCF order information to fulfil orders and facilitate communication with you and your customers about orders.
- We use inventory and order information to plan for and improve our fulfillment services for users of the Amazon Fulfilment Network, including MCF merchants, FBA sellers, and Amazon. For example, we use the information to forecast inventory placement in fulfilment locations and make network capacity and expansion decisions in order for the Amazon Fulfilment Network to most efficiently fulfil orders.
Does Amazon prohibit the use of the information received or collected when I use MCF to make decisions for its own retail business?
Amazon prohibits the use of non-public information received or collected when you use MCF to make sourcing, inventory level, and pricing decisions for products in our own store, including for offerings of Amazon’s store brand products. Amazon also prohibits the use of non-public information about MCF orders for merchandising or personalisation in the Amazon store.
